VoiceThread is a tool that increases the quality and frequency of interpersonal interaction in online learning environments because that has been proven to be the single most reliable indicator of better student outcomes. Users interact using voice, video, images, documents, text, and more. Students perform better when they feel they are a part of a community of actual people and that their teacher cares personally about them. It’s really hard to reach that goal with text-only communication.
