Eartrainer allows teachers to create dictation assignments, autogrades the students’ work, and puts the grades in the LMS gradebook. Teachers can create rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic dictations using the built-in editor, they can choose existing ones from a bank, or they can upload an existing dictation in .xml format. They can either include their own .mp3 or let the program generate one for them. They can customize the amount of hearings, the tempo of the musical examples, the instruments used in the recordings, and the grading rubrics used. Once students complete the assignment they receive immediate feedback. Teachers can click the assignment in their LMS gradebook and see their students’ work.
