Flashcards brings active recall and spaced repetition directly into Canvas. Operating natively through LTI 1.3 with roster sync (NRPS) and gradebook integration (AGS), the app requires no separate logins, external account creation, or manual data transfer. Instructors simply add it to a course, allowing students to launch practice sets immediately from their course menu.

Instructors can author card sets across eight question formats, import existing question banks (QTI, GIFT, Aiken), or draft sets using AI assistance with required human review before publishing. Practice sets can be assigned as graded tasks or optional study tools, organized by student cohorts, or run as live classroom sessions with real-time participation. Course analytics track topic mastery and highlight struggling students early, supported by customizable badges and leaderboards to maintain engagement.

For students, the app uses an adaptive spaced-repetition engine to focus study time on high-priority and forgotten concepts. Learners receive immediate feedback, personal progress tracking, streak counters, and full mobile accessibility, transforming passive note reading into measurable learning outcomes.
