The K-12 Digital Credentials Innovation Leadership Network (ILN) aims to provide outreach, resources, and demonstration projects to state agencies, statewide and national educational organizations, and K-12 districts and schools to accelerate the adoption of the Open Badges and Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR) as better ways to capture a complete picture of student competencies, skills, projects and experiences from the earliest stages of learning in a truly equitable, secure and transferable digital transcript for the 21st century.
Goals of K-12 Digital Credentials ILN
- Facilitate dialogue among districts, states, national agencies and workforce agencies on how better to investigate, foster, launch, encourage, grow, and continuously improve their digital credential programs.
- Provide a forum for sharing best practices, opportunities, and challenges related to digital credentials by statewide, national, and local education agencies and organizations in the implementation of IMS Global standards related to Open Badges and Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR).
